The Chief Director of the China National Symphony Orchestra, Yun Zhi Liu, is a well-known violinist. Born in a musician family, he began to learn playing the violin at the age of 4,and put on a show when he was 8 years old. In 1981, he entered in JiLin Artist Institute, and was admitted by the China National Symphony Orchestra with a great school record. He has been The Chief Director since 1991. He has ever visited a lot of countries and areas with the CNSO, such as :America, British, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and so on.. He has ever well cooperated with famous conductor Seiji Ozawa, violinist Yehudi Menuhin, conductor Charles Dutoit, composer and conductor Krzystof Pendercki ,violinist Lsaac Stern ,and left a deep impression over these masters who gave Yun Zhi Liu a high praise. Thanks to his remarkable music talent, Yun Zhi Liu won a good reputation and honor for he China National Symphony Orchestra.
As a prominent violinist solo, Yun Zhi Liu has been succeeded in performing the works of P.I.Thaikovsky,F.Mendelssohn violin concerto by collaborating with nationally well-known Orchestra: Shang Hai Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, China Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra. Yun Zhi Liu also are famous as the first violinist of the string quartet group who visited Romania and Russia representing China.
In 2002, Yun Zhi Liu went to Germany to pursue advanced studies at Munich Conservatory of Music where he received instruction from E.Sebestyen.In September of 2000,he graduated with a high score. Munich Conservatory of Music gave him a high comment: Yun Zhi Liu is a talented violinist, having a prominent skill and perceptibility. He will play a very important role in any music group.
